Make a Difference

Open your heart and home

Become a shared living provider

May Institute is proud to announce our Shared Living Program, a new residential option for adults with autism, intellectual disabilities, or acquired brain injury. In shared living, clients live in typical homes, with families, couples, or single households.

We are recruiting families, couples, and individuals to have the experience of a lifetime and share their homes with a person with intellectual disabilities.  In exchange for opening your heart to a person with different abilities and allowing him/her to become a part of your family you will receive a generous tax free stipend, training, respite and on-call support.  With ongoing support and guidance from May Institute, the household becomes a family — one in which all members are integral to the wellbeing of the family.
