Summary:

The May Center School for Autism and Developmental Disabilities in West Springfield is seeking an independently contracted Occupational Therapist to provide active consultation to our students for two hours per week. We are excited to be moving to a new location in West Springfield this July and we are looking for someone eager to take on additional hours as we increase our student census.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess individuals and develop formal programs to address fine motor, ADL, and other functional goals
  • Complete standardized, formal, and informal assessments and work with treatment team to develop and implement goals
  • Provide individual consultative services to students and staff
  • Provide formal and informal training to staff
  • Attend IEP and other internal meetings

Qualifications:

  • OT licensure required
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities utilizing applied behavior analysis is strongly preferred
