Host Family - Shared Living Provider- $2,500 Incentive Bonus

Job ID: 2016-2574
Job Location:
Westford, Massachusetts

Type: Contract
Category: Shared Living

Overview:

Summary:

May Institute is proud to announce our Shared Living Program, a new residential option for adults with autism, intellectual disabilities, or acquired brain injury.

We are seeking a couple to share a home in Westford with a young man with disabilities. In exchange for opening your heart and supporting him to realize his goals, you will live rent-free and receive a generous tax-free stipend, training, respite, and on-call support.

With ongoing guidance from May Institute, a Shared Living household becomes a family -- one in which all members are integral to the wellbeing of the family.

Interested couples must have experience with applied behavior analysis (ABA) and supporting individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. This hybrid shared living situation will include significant additional supports and applicants should feel comfortable working as members of a team. BCBA preferred.

May Institute is offering a $2,500 incentive bonus to the couple who is selected to move in with the young man and become a Shared Living provider. You will receive $500 when you move in, $1,000 after six months, and an additional $1,000 after a year of serving as a Shared Living provider.

Please contact Keith Duclos at kduclos@mayinstitute.org or 781-437-1339 for more information and an application.
