The May Center School for Brain Injury and Neurobehavioral Disorders is seeking a Behavior Specialist to join our team of behavior analysts. The Behavior Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of behavioral services to assigned students in the school and/or residential settings. Some evening hours may be required.



  • Conduct behavioral assessments as needed to identify problem behaviors and functions
  • Develop Behavior Support Plans to decrease problem behavior and increase adaptive behavior, and modify plans and data collection systems as needed
  • Train staff to implement Behavior Support Plans with integrity and supervise the daily implementation of Behavior Support Plans in the classroom and/or residence, providing feedback as needed
  • Provide consultation to parents/guardians, teachers, direct care staff, and other administrators about student behavior and intervention strategies
  • Assist staff during residential (evening and/or morning) hours, including training, modeling, and feedback of Behavior Support Plans and skill acquisition programs
  • Assist during behavioral crises
  • Conduct trainings on Applied Behavior Analysis as needed
  • Collect and analyze behavioral, IOA, crisis intervention, and treatment integrity data
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary team (including parents/guardians) regarding assigned students
  • Participate in Administrator On-Call rotation, clinical meetings, peer reviews, and other meetings as required


  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • BCBA or making progress toward BCBA certification
  • Previous experience conducting behavioral assessments and developing Behavior Support Plans
  • Demonstrated supervisory and consultation experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
